Terms of Service

These terms and conditions govern the use of the Wedge Management Limited (“Wedge”) website and mobile application (together, the “Wedge Digital Platform”).

When referring to we, our, or us, we are referring to Wedge Management Limited. When referring to you or your, we are referring to a user of the Wedge Digital Platform.

When you use the Wedge Digital Platform, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (T&Cs). If you don't follow these terms, we can suspend or terminate your access to the Wedge mobile application.

You should check these T&Cs from time to time for any changes. These T&Cs are the ones that apply when you access the Wedge Digital Platform. Any changes to them will apply to you if you keep using the Wedge Digital Platform after we've updated them.

If we make a significant change to these T&Cs, Wedge will post a notification on our website and email you if you have an active Wedge account. If a change does not materially affect you, or it is not practical to notify, we can make the change without notice.

You can tell when we last updated these T&Cs by the date at the top of this page.

Accuracy of informations

While Wedge endeavours to ensure the information on the Wedge Digital Platform is accurate, we do not make any promises, representations, or warranties that the information is free from errors or omissions.

Wedge reserves the right to amend or add to the Wedge Digital Platform at any time without notice. It is the responsibility of the user to verify all information before making final decisions or commitments.

To the full extent permitted by law, Wedge accepts no responsibility and shall have no liability for any errors, omissions or other inaccuracies in the information provided on the Wedge Digital Platform or for any loss or damage suffered or incurred (directly or indirectly) by a user, or any other person, as a result of using the information on the Wedge Digital Platform.

Access and use

You can only open a Wedge account via our mobile application if you're aged 18 years or older and are a New Zealand resident.

Your use of the Wedge Digital Platform may be interrupted, varied, suspended, or cancelled by us at any time without notice, or for reasons beyond our control. You agree that we will not be liable for any loss or damage caused as a result of the interruption, variation, suspension or cancellation of our provision or your use of the Wedge Digital Platform or through a lack of its continuity, accessibility, or reliability.

Wedge operates on a purely digital basis; our products and services will therefore only be delivered to you electronically.

Hyperlinks

We may embed hyperlinks on the Wedge Digital Platform for your convenience. By activating a hyperlink, you may leave the Wedge Digital Platform and be redirected to other sites that are not operated by us. Wedge does not endorse, review or check external sites; nor can Wedge control their content. You therefore enter these sites at your own risk. Wedge accepts no responsibility or liability in respect of material contained on other sites.

Security

When you create a Wedge account, we will provide you with a confidential Wedge identification number (“Wedge ID”). You will also be required to choose a password to access your account. You must safeguard these details at all times.

You acknowledge that access to your account will be provided to any person using your Wedge ID and password and you must therefore keep it confidential.

You agree that all information you provide when you create a Wedge account is true, accurate, and correct, and you agree to inform us promptly if any of this information becomes outdated or is otherwise inaccurate or misleading.

We will consider any action or request made using your password or biometric login to have been made by you and the request will be carried out without further enquiry. You will be responsible for all instructions and any consequential transactions using your password or biometric login whether authorised by you or not. Once an instruction has been given, it cannot be cancelled, withdrawn, or reversed.

You agree to take reasonable precautions to prevent the introduction or spread of any software contamination, including viruses, into the Wedge Digital Platform when accessing, providing, or downloading information through this platform.

Biometrics

You may be able to use biometric information that is stored on your device to log into your account on the Wedge mobile application, such as facial recognition.

If you enable biometric login, any person with biometric information stored on your device could log into the Wedge mobile application. You will be responsible for any actions on your account if someone gains unauthorised access through a biometric login.

Communication

When you create a Wedge account you consent to receiving information relating to your savings from us and authorised agents including personalised electronic annual account and tax statements.

We may communicate with you via telephone, email, text message, or notifications from our mobile application.

You are required to tell us if there are any changes to your contact details, including your email address and mobile phone number. You will be taken to have received any notice that we send to the most recent contact details that we have on file for your account.

Privacy

Wedge is committed to your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, protect and use your personal information. Please read these T&Cs alongside our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website and mobile application.

Advice

Wedge does not give financial advice. The information provided on the Wedge Digital Platform is not intended to constitute advice of a financial, legal, accounting, tax or other nature to any person.

Reference to taxation or the impact of taxation does not constitute tax advice. The rules on and bases of taxation can change. The value of any tax relief will depend on individual circumstances. You should consult your tax adviser in order to understand the impact of investment decisions on your tax position.

Transactions

Wedge will make all the information about your transactions and account activity available to you through the Wedge mobile application. This includes the information that we or the custodian are required to provide to you.

If you dispute any transaction completed via the Wedge mobile application, you need to notify us immediately at support@wedgemoney.co.nz. We will acknowledge receipt of your disputed transaction notice within five business days. Wedge will investigate the matter and advise you of the outcome within 30 days of receiving your dispute notice.

Should the investigation not be completed within 30 days, we will contact you to let you know the reason for the delay and provide an updated timeline. Other than where there is an obvious error, our records of each transaction will be evidence of these transactions, unless you prove to the contrary.
